Councillor Tull has been a Councillor since May 2023. Dave and his family moved to Houghton in 2019. He is a GP and works across several practices in Leicestershire and Rutland. He is passionate about conservation and environmental issues, and after completing a two-year renovation of Weir Lane Farm, he is keen to take a more active role in the local community.

Dave is the Parish Council's deputy delegate for the Leicestershire and Rutland Association of Local Councils and deputises for carrying out regular checking of the defibrillator situated at the Village Hall. He shares responsibility for Portable Slow Down Indicator devices. Councillor Tull is a Deputy Planning Representative and Deputy Representative on the Special Development Area - Consultation Group. He is also an appointed nominee on the Personnel Standing Committee and sits on the Neighbourhood Plan Working Party. He assists with the annual visual checking of Parish Council assets.
